Boutique & Concept Store Supply

Small runs of pieces that are not already in every other store on the street.

What Boutiques Run Into

  • The wholesale catalogue everyone else has is the catalogue you cannot sell.
  • Minimums are set for department stores, not for a single shop.
  • Pieces arrive without the finish that justifies a boutique price.

How Small Runs Work

Small runs are possible because the pieces are made to order rather than drawn from stock, and because a run for one store is consolidated into a single shipment. If a form has to be developed for you, that is a different conversation, and we will say so at the start rather than at the quotation.

Finish & Colourway

An exclusive finish can be agreed for your store, and it is a matter of glaze and firing rather than of a different object. Because glaze behaviour varies between firings, an exclusive colourway is agreed from a sample rather than from a swatch. What is agreed is written into the order, so a later run can be matched to it.

How It Works

  1. Enquiry — tell us the channel, the craft line and the volume you have in mind.
  2. Selection — we propose forms and grades that suit your price band and your customer.
  3. Sampling — a sample is made and approved before any production run.
  4. Production — the run is made to the approved sample, with the grade stated on the order.
  5. Shipping — export packing, documentation and consolidated shipping arranged to your destination.

Typical Scenarios

A concept store wants a run of something its customers will not have seen on the high street. Quantities are modest and the risk sits with the buyer, so the brief usually arrives as a shape and a colour direction rather than a finished specification — and the run is sized to be tested rather than to fill a shelf.

The second shape is a store that buys one object and builds a display around it. One form, made well, in a finish agreed for that store, repeated only once it has sold.
